NEVADA HEALTH PROFESSIONALS

Allied for a Healthy Climate

WHO WE ARE

We are doctors, nurses, pharmacists, psychologists, public health professionals, therapists, students, residents and other health professionals working for a healthier Nevada by reducing climate change impacts.

CLIMATE CHANGE IN NEVADA

Fossil fuel burning is causing increased heat, drought, poor air and water quality and changes in diseases. Climate impacts threaten our health, but we can act to ensure a sustainable and healthy future.

What We Do

We Educate the Public. Through outreach events and presentations, we help Nevadans understand climate risks such as extreme heat, wildfire, and air pollution. We provide know-how for people to stay safe and healthy in the face of climate change. Reach out to info@nvcliniciansforclimate.org to connect with your group or event!

We Educate Health Professionals. Most health professionals have received little education about climate health impacts. We help learners and practicing health professionals to understand how to recognize climate change impacts on the health of their patients. We speak with health system employees about how to reduce waste and pollution in their operations. We help provide resources to keep Nevada patients safe and healthy in the face of a changing climate.  We are available to speak with students, residents, professional groups and public health groups. Contact us at info@nvcliniciansforclimate.org to connect!

We advocate for policies and programs to reduce climate pollution and build resilient Nevada communities. We are Nevadans and we are passionate about advocating for a healthier future. We engage at the state and local level. Join us to learn more!
